ICP on Sprouts

Introduction

The ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) setup functionality allows users to define, manage and apply structured ICPs inside the platform.

By creating Account-level and Persona-level ICPs, users can ensure that all subsequent sourcing, enrichment and outreach activities are aligned to their most relevant target profiles.

This guide explains how users can access the ICP configuration area and create their own ICPs step by step.

Account ICP- Sprouts Recommended ICP

What does the feature do?

The Setup ICP section enables users to:

  • View all existing Account ICPs and Persona ICPs

  • Create new ICPs by combining platform filters (Standard fields,Advanced fields and AI fields.)

  • Store the ICPs for future use across sourcing and qualification workflows

  • Maintain a centralized place for editing or deleting ICPs over time

šŸ” Step 1: Log in to your Sprouts account

The user enters their credentials and logs into the platform. After a successful authentication, the user is directed to the main dashboard.

From this point onward, the user has access to all modules and navigation items that are enabled for their role.

āš™ļøStep 2: Navigate to Settings

In the main navigation bar (typically located on the left side), the user clicks on Settings.

This opens the configuration area where platform-level preferences and reusable assets (such as user roles, configurations and integrations) can be managed.The Settings page displays a left-hand menu with a list of configuration categories.

šŸ” Step 3: Open ā€œSetup ICPā€

In the Settings left-panel, the user clicks on the option named ā€œSetup ICPā€which is in configurations.

As soon as this is selected, the right-hand side of the page refreshes and shows the ICP configuration workspace.

At the top of this workspace, two tabs are visible:

Account ICP

For creating and managing ICPs at the company/account level

Persona ICP

For creating and managing ICPs at the individual/persona level

The user lands on the Account ICP tab by default.

Step 4:Validate Eligibility

The system checks the number of active customers in exclusion List for the tenant:

Active Customers

Available ICP Mode

< 30

Only Custom ICP is available

≄ 30

Both Sprouts Recommended ICP and Custom ICP are available

If the Account meets the minimum requirement (30+ active customers) in Exclusion List, the ā€œSprouts Recommended ICPā€ card becomes active.

Step 5: Start Generation

Under the Sprouts Recommended ICP card, This action opens a new tab workspace containing three filter groups:

Filter Group

Description

Standard Fields

Default firmographic filters such as Country, Employee Count, Company Size, Founded Year, etc.

Advanced Fields

Additional classification filters such as Tech Stack, Employee distribution by Department, B2B vs B2C, etc.

AI Fields

AI-driven signals available(Those were configured by tenant) eg.revenue Growth were will be visible.

Step 6 :Define Desired Filters

The user reviews the available filters in each section and selects the parameters that should be considered for the Recommended ICP.

Users can select values from multiple groups (for example, combine Employee Count in Standard Fields with Tech Stack in Advanced Fields and one or more Signals in AI Fields).

This flexibility enables refinement of the AI-generated ICP based on the user’s own strategy and preferences.

Step 7 :Generate ICP

Once the desired filters are selected, the user clicks the Generate ICP button.

The system triggers the AI model and:

  • Analyses the active customers against the selected parameters

  • Generates a Recommended Account ICP

  • Stores the ICP in the Account ICP list

A success toast message confirms that the Recommended ICP has been created successfully.

The user is then redirected back to the Account ICP table, where the newly generated Recommended ICP is displayed along with the date/time of creation.

You can click refresh ICP every 7 days to get the latest data.

Account ICP-Custom ICP

What does the feature do?

The Setup ICP section enables users to:

  • View all existing Account ICPs and Persona ICPs

  • Create new ICPs by combining platform filters (Account attributes, Classifications, AI Signals, etc.)

  • Store the ICPs for future use across sourcing and qualification workflows

  • Maintain a centralized place for editing or deleting ICPs over time

Step 4:View Existing Account ICPs

Within the Account ICP tab, a table is displayed that lists all of the Account ICPs that have already been created by the user.

Each row includes key information such as:

  • Account name(ICP name)

  • status -Active or inactive

  • Created By

  • Date modified

This allows the user to quickly review what ICPs already exist and avoid duplication.

On the far right side of the tab, an action button labelled ā€œCreate ICPā€ is prominently displayed.

This button is used to start the process of creating a new Account ICP.

Step 5: Create a New Account ICP

When the user clicks on Create ICP, a configuration window opens in a modal or full-page view (depending on the platform design).

This create screen consists of two main panels:

Left Panel – Available Filters

Here the user can define the exact characteristics of the accounts that should belong to the ICP.

The filters include, but are not limited to:

Filter Category

Examples

Account Attributes

Industry, Number of Employees, Revenue, Region/Country,etc.

Account Classification

profit/non profit, B2B/B2Cetc.

AI Signals

Losing ground to key competitors,hiring news,etc.

Each of these is presented as a searchable dropdown to help the user quickly locate the relevant option(s).

The user can select one or multiple values within each filter group to precisely define their ICP.

Right Panel – ICP Details

On this side, a text input field is provided where the user can name the ICP.

For example: ā€œNorth America – Mid Market SaaSā€ or ā€œE-commerce Accounts with Hiring Signalā€.

This name will be shown throughout the platform anywhere the ICP can be selected or referenced.

Step 6 :Save the ICP

Once the user has (a) selected the required filter values and (b) provided a name, they click on the Save button.

Upon clicking Save:

  • A new ICP record is created and stored in the system

  • The user is automatically redirected back to the Account ICP list screen

  • The newly created ICP appears in the table (typically at the top of the list)

A toast notification appears in the bottom left corner of the screen stating that the ICP has been successfully created.
