How to Source Contacts in TAL


Introduction

The Source Contacts feature in TAL enables users to discover net-new contacts from within selected accounts and seamlessly bring them into the TAL system.

It acts as a focused enrichment and qualification workspace, ensuring that users only invest time and credits on the most relevant contacts. This functionality is available only after one or more accounts have been selected in the account view.

What does the feature do?

The feature surfaces ALL contacts (i.e., Net New Contacts) for the selected accounts. The user can then:

  • Review and qualify specific contacts.

  • Refine the list through multiple filters.

  • Choose whether to enrich email and/or phone data.

  • Optionally add them directly to one or more predefined lists.

  • Bring only the selected contacts into TAL, preserving credit usage and overall database quality.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions for Source contacts on TAL

🔐 Step 1: Log in to your Sprouts account

Use your Sprouts account credentials.

⚙️Step 2: Select Account(s)

The user lands on the Account view(TAL) and manually selects one or more accounts.Immediately after the selection, a new action button titled “Source Contacts” appears in the top action bar.

Includes filters such as Persona ICP, Company, Location, Job Title, Department and Seniority

Main Panel (Contact Table)

Displays Net New Contacts associated with the selected account(s). Contacts already present in TAL will be shown here

Once the user clicks the “Source Contacts” button, a new full-screen view opens. This view consists of two panels:

🔍 Step 3: Apply Filters & Review Contacts

Users can:

Manually pick individual contacts directly from the table

Refine the results by using the searchable drop-down filters available in the left panel

(Persona ICP, Companies, Location, Job Title, Department and Seniority)

Step 4: Qualify the Selected Contacts

After selecting contacts, the user clicks the Qualify button in the top-right corner.

A modal window opens with the following qualification options:

Qualify all selected contacts

Adds all selected contacts into TAL

Qualify X contacts per account

Users specify a fixed number of contacts to be qualified per account

Step 5: (Optional) Choose Enrichment Options

Within the same modal, the user can optionally enable enrichment options:

Enrichment Type

Credit Cost

Enrich Email

1 credit per contact

Enrich Phone

10 credits per contact

The enrichment option(s) are applied to only the contacts being qualified in that session.

Step 6 :(Optional) Add to List

The user can also choose to add the selected contacts to one or more existing Contact Lists.

A single contact can be added to a maximum of 10 lists simultaneously.

Step 7: Save & Confirmation

Once all selections are reviewed, the user clicks Save.

TAL will:

  • Add the selected contacts into the TAL Contact database

  • Apply the selected enrichment options (email and/or phone)

  • Add contacts to the selected lists

A success toast notification confirms that the operation has been completed successfully.

How to Source Contacts in WAL

The Source Contacts feature in WAL i.e. Website Account List enables users to discover net-new contacts from within selected accounts and seamlessly bring them into the TAL system.

It acts as a focused enrichment and qualification workspace, ensuring that users only invest time and credits on the most relevant contacts. This functionality is available only after one or more accounts have been selected in the account view.

What does the feature do?

The feature surfaces All contacts (i.e., Net New Contacts) for the selected accounts. The user can then:

Step 3: Launch Source Contacts

The user clicks the Qualify button → a modal window titled “Source Contacts” opens.

The modal includes the following fields and options:

Option 1 – Source via ICP

Searchable drop-down to select the target ICP against which contacts will be sourced

Number of contacts per account

Numeric input — defines how many contacts should be sourced per account

Option 2 – Skip ICP and Directly Qualify

If the user does not want to use the ICP-based filter, they can click “Skip & Qualify”.

In this case, WAL will source default contacts for the selected accounts without applying persona criteria.

Step 4: Choose Enrichment Options (Optional)

Users can enable one, both or none of the enrichment options.

The modal also displays the total available credits (e.g. 4.6K Credits) at the top-right, so the user can make informed decisions.

Step 6 :Source Contacts

Depending on the user’s choice:

Click “Qualify” (after selecting Persona ICP)

WAL sources the specified number of contacts per account based on the ICP

Click “Skip & Qualify”

WAL sources the same number of contacts per account without applying an ICP filter

In both cases, the system applies any selected enrichment options.

Step 7:Confirmation

After processing, WAL adds the sourced contacts to the system and displays a success toast notification confirming that the contacts have been sourced successfully.

How to Source Contacts in DB
