What's New
We have added three new features to make AI Signals more powerful and easier to use:
Output Format Selection — You can now choose how you want your signal answers to look.
Signal Highlighting — The most important information in the signal's response is now shown in bold so you can find it quickly.
Auto-Refreshed Account Filters — You can now filter to see only those accounts that have been automatically updated.
Feature 1: Output Format Selection
What is Output Format?
Output Format lets you decide how the AI should present its answers. You can pick from four different styles based on what kind of question you are asking.
Here are the four formats you can choose:
Format | When to Use It | What It Looks Like |
Paragraph(Default) | When you want a detailed story or explanation about the company. | A full paragraph with complete sentences describing the news or information. |
Yes/No | When you have a simple question with a yes or no answer. | A green "Yes" or red "No" badge. |
Number | When you want to find a specific number, like revenue or growth percentage. | A number or metric like "+200% ARR growth". |
Bullet Points | When you want information broken down into a list of separate points. | A list with bullet points, each showing one piece of information. |
Step 1: Open the Signal Configuration Screen
Screenshot Reference: Image 1 shows the Configuration screen where you can see all the settings, including the new Output Format displaying Yes/No on the right side.
First, go to your Target Account List page where all your companies are shown.
Click on the "Smart Column" button at the top of the page.
From the menu that appears, click on "Signals" to start creating a new signal.
You can either pick a signal that already exists from the Library or create your own custom signal.
After you choose or create your signal, you will see the Configuration screen where you can adjust all the settings.
Step 2: Choose Your Output Format
On the Configuration screen, look for the "Output Format" dropdown on the right side next to the Location filter.
Click on the dropdown to see all four format options.
Select the format that matches your question type.
If you are asking "Is the company hiring?" then Yes/No format works best.
If you are asking "What is the company's revenue?" then Number format works best.
If you want a full explanation, choose Paragraph format.
If you want a list of points, choose Bullet Points format.
Settings you need to fill out:
Column Name — This is the title that will appear at the top of your column. You must fill this in and it can be up to 50 characters long.
Date Range — This tells the system how far back in time to search for information. You can pick 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, or Anytime.
Select Location — This lets you choose which countries to search in. You can select Global to search everywhere or pick specific country.
Output Format (New) — This is where you choose how you want your answers to look.
⚠️ Important Note: Make sure you pick a format that matches your question. If your question does not match the format, the answer might not make sense. For example, if you ask "What are the company's recent partnerships?" but select Yes/No format, the answer might be inconsistent or not available.
Step 3: Preview Your Results Before Spending Credits
Screenshot Reference: Image 2 shows the Preview panel with four accounts (Capgemini, Infosys, Deloitte, and United) all displaying green "Yes" badges because Yes/No format was selected.
After you finish configuring your signal, the system will show you a preview of the results.
The preview uses the first few accounts from your list to show you what the answers will look like.
This preview is completely free and does not cost any credits.
You can check if the format you selected is giving you the kind of answers you want.
If you are not happy with the results, you can go back and change the format or other settings.
You can regenerate the preview as many times as you want until you are satisfied.
Once you are happy with what you see, click the "Generate" button to run the signal on all your accounts.
Step 4: View Your Results in the Target Account List
Screenshot Reference: Image 4 shows the Target Account List with multiple signal columns added. You can see AI News Insights showing paragraphs, Financials Metrics showing numbers, Hiring showing Yes badges, and Global Market Presence Expansion showing text.
After the system finishes processing, you will automatically return to your Target Account List.
A new column will appear with the name you chose during configuration.
Each row in the column will show the signal answer for that company in the format you selected.
Companies with a Yes/No format will show green "Yes" or "No" badges on TAL as well as on Hover..
Companies with a Number format will show the specific metric or number found.
Companies with a Paragraph format will show a short preview of the full text on Hover.
Companies with Bullet Points format will be shown on the hover as well as all points will be displayed on the Detailed view page.
Step 5: Use the New Filters to Sort Your Results
Screenshot Reference: Image 3 shows the Filters panel on the left side with new filter options for Hiring (Yes/No format) and Financials Metrics (Number format). You can see checkboxes for Yes, No, Direct, and Related under Hiring, and Min/Max number inputs under Financials Metrics.
Click on "Show Filters" to open the Filters panel on the left side of your screen.
You will see new filter options based on the output format you used for each signal.
For Yes/No format signals:
You can filter to show only accounts that have "Yes" answers.
You can filter to show only accounts that have "No" answers.
You can also filter by signal status to show Direct or Related results.
For Number format signals:
You can set a minimum value to show only accounts above a certain number.
You can set a maximum value to show only accounts below a certain number.
You can also filter by signal status to show Direct, Related, or No Signal results.
For Paragraph and Bullet Points format signals:
You can filter by signal status to show Direct, Related, or No Signal results and the experience is similar lie for default Paragraph AI Signals response.
Step 6: Click on Any Cell to See Full Details
When you click on any cell in your signal column, a detailed panel will open showing you all the information about that signal.
Viewing Paragraph Format Details: This is the Deafualt response so the original response will be displayed.

Feature 2: Highlighting Important Context in AI Signals Response
Signal Highlighting automatically makes the most important part of the answer bold so you can see it right away. This saves you time because you do not have to read the entire paragraph to find the key information.
When you open the Cell Details panel for any account, look at the Signal section.
The most important sentence or finding will be displayed in bold text.
This bold text shows you the main point that answers your question.
The rest of the text gives you additional context and details.
Why is this helpful?
You can quickly scan through many accounts without reading every word.
You can now see which accounts have the most interesting or relevant information with less complexity.
You save time when reviewing large lists of enriched accounts.
Feature 3: Auto-Refresh Account Filters
What is the Auto-Refresh Filter?
Screenshot Reference: [The Filters panel showing the Auto-Refreshed Accounts checkbox option]
When you set up a signal with Auto-Refresh turned on, the system automatically updates the information for your accounts every 7 days. The new Auto-Refresh filter lets you quickly find accounts that have been recently updated.
This filter only appears for signals that have Auto-Refresh enabled in their configuration settings.
If a signal does not have Auto-Refresh turned on, you will not see this filter option.
How to use the Auto-Refresh Filter:
Go to your Target Account List and click on "Show Filters" to open the Filters panel.
Find the signal column that has Auto-Refresh enabled.
You will see a checkbox labeled "Refreshed Accounts" under that signal's filter options.
Check this box to show only accounts that have been automatically updated.
Uncheck the box to show all accounts again.
📝 Note: The Auto-Refreshed Accounts checkbox will only be visible for signal columns where you turned on the Auto-Refresh option during configuration. If you did not enable Auto-Refresh for a signal, this filter will not appear.
Why is this helpful?
You can quickly find accounts that have new or updated information.
You can focus your attention on accounts where something may have changed recently.
You can track which accounts are being actively monitored by the system.
You can prioritize your outreach based on the freshest data available.
Your question is like "What is their revenue?" or "How much did they raise?"
