Uploading your accounts or contacts in Sprouts streamlines your workflow and ensures all your data is easy to manage and enrich. This guide walks you through the process step by step, making your imports hassle-free.
Uploading Accounts
Step 1: Go to Target Profiles.
Step 2: Navigate to the Accounts page.
Step 3: Click Actions in the top right corner.
Step 4: Select Account CSV Upload.
You'll see a sample CSV file and a list of mandatory fields, which are required for successful import.
Step 5: Click to choose the CSV file you want to upload. Use Change file if you want to select a different file.
Step 6: Click Continue, once you have selected your desired file.
Step 7: Map the mandatory fields, such as Domain or Company LinkedIn URL. Make sure these are present in your file.
Step 8: Map additional fields like Account Name, Industry, and Company HQ if needed.
Step 9: Click Continue when your mappings are complete.
Sprouts will flag any unmapped fields for review.
Step 10: If you're ready, click Continue again.
Step 11: Decide what to do if an account already exists—update, skip, or mandate CSV values.
Step 12: Choose your preferred option and move to the next step.
Step 13: Assign an owner to the accounts.
You can choose to keep the existing owner or update ownership.
Step 14: Select a Persona ICP if needed and define how many contacts to enrich per account.
Also decide whether to enrich emails and phone numbers.
Step 15: Save the imported accounts to an account list by entering a name.
Step 16: Click Continue to complete the upload.
After the upload finishes, your file will appear under logs. Click the file name for details, and you’ll be redirected to target profiles where your accounts are listed.
Uploading Contacts
Step 1: Go to the Contacts page in Target Profiles.
Step 2: Click Actions at the top right and choose Contact CSV Upload.
Step 3: Select your contact CSV file. You’ll see a sample file for reference, listing all mandatory fields. You can change the file if needed.
Step 4: Click Continue and map the mandatory fields: First Name, Domain, and either Corporate Email ID or Contact LinkedIn URL. Map any additional custom fields as desired.
Step 5: Click Continue. If you’re finished mapping, confirm to proceed.
Step 6: Choose whether to update existing contacts, skip changes, or override existing information.
Step 7: Adjust ownership as needed. Decide if you want to keep or update ownership for each contact.
Step 8: Save your uploaded contacts to a list by naming it and hitting Enter. You can also verify email addresses to check for validity.
Step 9: Select your options and click Continue to start the import.
Your file is processed and appears under the contact logs on the Import Logs page. Click the file to review, and you’ll be redirected to your contact listings in target profiles.
