Limits for LinkedIn automatic steps

Updated over 3 months ago

Limits for LinkedIn automatic steps help protect your account from being flagged or blacklisted due to excessive activity. These limits control the number of actions, like connection requests, messages, and profile views, that can be done each day.

By default, Sprouts algorithm monitors your LinkedIn account and sets recommended safe limits for each action type. You can also adjust these limits to match your needs and keep track of your daily usage to stay within safe boundaries.

πŸ’‘ Important Note: To use limits, make sure to connect your LinkedIn account using an Auto cookie first.

How to view your limits?

  1. Open Settings in the top panel.

  2. Go to the LinkedIn Accounts tab.

  3. Click on your connected LinkedIn account.

You’ll see your current LinkedIn limits listed below your profile info and session cookie.

Types of safety limits

There are two ways to set safety limits: limit ranges and max amount.

Limit Ranges (Dynamic Limits) let you set a range for daily actions. Sprouts picks a random number from this range each day. For example, if your limit is 20–30, Sprouts might send 22 requests on Day 1, 28 on Day 2, 25 on Day 3, etc.

Dynamic limits help make your actions look more natural to LinkedIn by varying the number of actions each day. This reduces the risk of your account being flagged for suspicious activity. By default, we suggest safe ranges for different actions:

  • Connections, View Profiles, Like Recent Posts, InMails, Detections, Revoke Connections, Endorse Skills, Follow Profile: 25–35

  • Messages: 35–50

Max Amount (Static Limit) is a fixed daily limit. Instead of setting a range, you choose one specific number. For example, you can set your connection requests to stop at 25 every day. The default limit is 30 for each LinkedIn action.

πŸ’‘ Important Note: The limits apply only to LinkedIn automatic steps and do not include any manual actions.
